TATOOINE; I couldn't believe it I was really on this planet, somewhere in the Outer Rim territories. How did I come to this dusty sandy stone somewhere in the galaxy? I went through the dirty streets of Mos Eisley and didn't know what I should do there. It was very hot, the air shimmered, but what else I should expect of a desert planet?
TATOOINE is a place for all the scum of the whole galaxy when you listen to the rumours. There you can find smugglers, pirates, murderers and other criminals who aren't willing to be found by the justice or the Empire. All rumours I heard before became true; this wasn't a place for a loyal imperial one. I really hated this place! What the hell would I do here? This was the question I always asked myself. The streets of Mos Eisley were unbelievable dirty, the houses were small and didn't show you that you are welcome. This was one of the most terrible places I ever had visited.
A few dirty and stinky Jawas tried to sell me some kind of scrap. I can't remember what scrap it was but this isn't important. These Jawas were like annoying little mosquitoes; they got on my nerves. So I used the force and pushed these creatures away from me. They flew through the half of the street but this didn't interest me. The important thing was that I had my silence back and could continue my way through the streets of that spaceport city. I used the force again to create a field DONīT - COME - TOO - CLOSE - TO - ME around me and so I wouldn't disturbed by anybody. Astonishingly, the streets of Mos Eisley were full of life, there were merchants, droids and a lot of creatures I never had seen before. To say it shortly this place was a nasty one and I really started to wish I was back in Coruscant.
Suddenly I stood in front of a bar. It looked like all here, it was unbelievable dirty and repulsive from outside and I was sure that inside it was the same. But I was thirsty and so I stepped in. The smell inside was really horrific. The bar was well visited and each of the creatures here sweated in the rough desert clime and this caused this smell. My Sith Lord instincts did their best and after a while I was able to ignore the smell. I went to the barman and bought the home drink. This drink was green like grass but if it smelled I couldn't remember. I grabbed the glass and walked to a table. There I sat down and started drinking. Until today I don't know what I had drunk or how it tasted but this was equal. In this time I never had tasted something. With the death of my grandpa Willhuff Tarkin a part of me died too. While I was drinking I stared at the table thinking and feeling nothing, absolutely nothing.
After a while I recognised that I wasn't alone any longer. I think I looked like a lonely person and so this one came to my table. It was a young man, and he smiled friendly to me. I wanted to send him away but something happened and so I couldn't do it. I sized up him in a cold way but he wasn't so easy to intimidate.
"Hi, I'm GMK." he said and wanted to give me his hand, but I didn't take it.
"What do you want?" I asked in an unfriendly way. He took his hand back and smiled again in a disarming way.
"Only a little bit talking, you seem to be lonely."
"So, I seem to be lonely?" I leaned back and studied him. He answered,
"Yes, you look like somebody who is wrong here and needs somebody to talk."
"Aha and you want to help me out of my disaster, right? And this only because of politeness, right? I'm not interested, leave me in peace." I responded, but again I was wrong with thinking that he would leave me alone now. He didn't give up.
"Please listen to me and what I want to tell you. When you aren't interested afterwards, I will leave you in peace. This I promise. "
I thought to myself, OK, what can be wrong when I listen to him? Again it was strange that I didn't use the force to send him away. I think it was fortune and so I said,
"OK, say what you want to say." The young man smiled.
"Good, thanks. Well normally my name is Grand Moff Keify, in short GMK. This is my callsign in the Imperial Navy. I'm a pilot and I'm looking for new members. So when you search for adventures, action and new friends, join us."
"You do not wear an uniform?" I wondered, because I would not speak with a recruiter and I was surprised about this strange recruiting method. His answer,
"Right, but this is my homeworld here. I'm on vacation."
"This stone full of sand is your homeworld? What wonder that you wanted to leave this lonely place."
"Hehe, right. This place is boring. Here never a thing happens. I wanted action and I get action in the Navy." My next question,
"Which part of the Navy are you in? There are so many fleets and nobody knows which one he or she should join." GMK leaned back too, sure that he had my interest.
"One of the best fleets in the whole Navy.... Ever heard of TFA?" I must admit that I never was strongly interested in the Navy, always more in the Army, and so my answer was no. This answer spurred GMK on such a high level of trying to convince me,
"You should know TFA, the Tie Fighter Alliance. We are one of the biggest fleets in the whole Navy and for sure one of the best."
"Hmmm... yeah, but all fleets say about themselves. This isn't an argument with the best. What makes you so special?" Now the young man looked a little bit hurt,
"Well, we are very experienced in battles and we will always be sent to the hotspots to crush down The Rebel Alliance. Our fleet has 4 wings, I think this size speaks for itself! In the most times we operate in the Outer Rim sector. There you can find a big crowd of rebels, pirates, smugglers and all other scum."
"Hmm, sounds interesting," was my answer. But I became really curious of TFA, it was a long time since I hunted rebels, too long I admitted for myself. Somehow I missed the old feeling of going into combat. The strain before the mission, the coolness in the mission and the relief afterwards, this I lost. It became time that I took my personal revenge at the rebels.
In this moment I knew it was high time for me to return to the battlefield. But I wasn't sure which fleet I should join, or maybe if I should return to my stormtroopers and so I said,
"Tell me more about the TFA, GMK." He continued with a smile in his eyes.
"The leader of the whole TFA is Fleet Admiral Rodeo, I'm sure you heard from him. He's a living legend, one of the best pilots in the whole imperial Navy and not only in the TFA. As I said before, the fleet has 4 wings. The most battle hardened and maybe strongest is Wing 4 or Euro-Wing. This is my wing!" GMK made a short break and smiled proud.
"The Wing Commander is Rear Admiral Nr50, he's also the leader of the Royal Guard and a legendary pilot too. We have 3 squads in our wing now, the third was created for a few weeks."
"Aha, now I know why you are on recruiting drive!" I interrupted him. I was a little bit amused about his recruiting style, especially with his show up with his commanding Officers. He answered,
"Yep, right. So my squadron is the Eagle Squad, we are stationed at the frigate Night Stalker. Then there is Phoenix Squadron with its mothership El Pollo Diablo. And for sure, there is our new squad called Falcon on board of the Talon. The flagship of the Wing 4 is the Imperial Star Destroyer 2nd class Nimitz. Nr50 commands this ship. We also conquered a sector in the Outer Rim for a short time, the Ifanas System. But now we must regroup. That's why I have vacation and I'm here. Do you want to support us with our battle against The Rebel Alliance? What do you say?"
"The fight against The Rebel Alliance is a fair one, they want to destroy all the Empire builds up. They want anarchy instead of order and we all should know what anarchy causes. I think I'm in." I couldn't believe what I have said but I also knew it was time for me to return to life. GMK became enthusiastic,
"Hey, this is great, you are the first one I have recruited. But please do not forget it's the TFA and your recruiter was Grand Moff Keify!"
"OK, OK I will not forget it, and maybe you started a big career as recruiter for a few seconds!" I laughed and winked to him.
"Oh no, I like it to be only a pilot," was his answer. Then GMK bought a new round of the green drink on his bill.
Now we talked and talked about the TFA and the Navy for hours. GMK told me a lot about his adventures and the battle around the Ifanas system (note of the writer, the battle around the Ifanas system is a part of the well-known WOW 10). More and more I became convinced that I was doing the right with joining the Navy. It became later and later and we still spoke about this theme. The bar became empty but we didn't stop talking. Then the barman came and forced us to leave too, but the all-important was set for me. In front of the bar we said goodbye to each other and I went to my quarters. I felt alive again and this feeling was a good one.
After returning in my quarters I couldn't sleep and I stared in the darkness. Too many thoughts crossed my mind. I was absolutely convinced in joining the Tie Fighter Alliance. I knew the time of mourning about my grandfathers death and the aimless wandering around was over. Now there would follow the time of revenge, and I was ready for it. But first of all I must prepare myself for my new life, for this I had to return at home. The next morning I went to the transit point and bought a ticket to Coruscant.
